Free Online Utilities — 20+ Tools, No Signup
The utility tools category collects the small, single-purpose tools that don't fit cleanly into the other groups but solve real everyday problems: a strong password generator, a what-is-my-IP lookup, an internet speed test, a word counter for editors and writers, a text-to-speech reader, a voice recorder. Each tool is a focused page that does its one job well.
The privacy bar is high here because several of these tools handle sensitive information by nature. The password generator uses the browser's native Web Crypto API for cryptographically secure randomness — the same source the major password managers use — and never logs the generated passwords. The IP lookup tells you only your own IP, with no logging. The voice recorder runs entirely on-device with no upload of audio.
Most of these tools work offline after the first page load. The speed test and IP lookup are the exceptions — they need network access by definition. Everything else is fully browser-local.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the password generator cryptographically secure?
Yes. It uses crypto.getRandomValues from the Web Crypto API — the same secure random source 1Password, Bitwarden, and KeePassXC use. Generated passwords are never logged, never sent to a server, and never stored in browser history.
Where does the speed test data come from?
The speed test uses a small set of geographically distributed test endpoints. Your browser downloads and uploads sample data to measure throughput. The result is an estimate of available bandwidth between your device and the nearest endpoint.
Does the voice recorder upload my audio?
No. Recording happens entirely on your device using the browser's MediaRecorder API. The audio file is created locally and downloaded to your device — it is never sent to a server.
How accurate is the IP lookup?
The IP itself is accurate (it's your public IP as seen by the lookup service). The geolocation is approximate — typically accurate to city level, sometimes only to country or region. ISPs and VPN exits can shift the reported location.
Why does the word counter work better than browser extensions?
Most browser extensions count words by simple whitespace splitting, which gets confused by punctuation and Unicode. Toolkiya's word counter uses Unicode-aware segmentation, which correctly handles non-Latin scripts, em-dashes, and edge cases like 'don't' (one word, not two).
