Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 11, 2026
Our commitment
Toolkiya is built to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability or assistive technology. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across the entire site and are continuously improving.
What we support
- Full keyboard navigation — every tool, button, and link is reachable and operable with Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and Space.
- Visible focus indicators — orange focus rings on all interactive elements.
- Screen reader support — semantic HTML, ARIA labels where needed, and meaningful alt text for images.
- Color contrast — text meets or exceeds 4.5:1 contrast ratio against backgrounds (7:1 for small text where possible).
- Responsive text — content reflows at 200% zoom without loss of function.
- Reduced motion — animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query. - Dark mode — automatically matches your system preference.
Known limitations
We're actively working on:
- Some drag-and-drop tool interactions don't have keyboard equivalents yet
- Canvas-based tools (screenshot annotator, signature maker) need better screen reader fallbacks
- Some older tools need ARIA label audit
