How Name-on-Image Works

Toolkiya loads a background image — either a stock festival template (Diwali diyas, Holi colors, Eid lanterns, birthday backdrops) or one you upload — onto an HTML canvas. You type your name or message, and the Canvas 2D text API renders it on top with the font, size, color, shadow, stroke, and rotation you choose. A live preview reflects each change.

When you're happy with the result, the canvas is exported as a single PNG or JPEG at the full resolution of the background. Custom fonts (including Devanagari, Tamil, and other Indic scripts) are loaded as WebFonts in the browser, so text renders correctly without falling back to default system fonts. Nothing is uploaded.

When to Use Name on Image

Personalizing festival greetings — adding your name on a 'Happy Diwali' image before forwarding to family. Creating birthday wishes for friends with their name baked into a cake graphic. Making custom WhatsApp profile pictures with your name styled over a background. Generating personalized invitation graphics for puja, mehndi, or birthday events. Building a batch of named images for a customer list or team.

Why Use Toolkiya to Add Names

WhatsApp-forwarded 'write name on image' apps are notorious for being ad-laden, watermark-heavy, and for uploading every name and photo you process. Toolkiya runs entirely in your browser, so your name, the recipient's name, and any uploaded photo never leave your device.

There is no signup, no Toolkiya logo on the output, and no daily limit. Indic-script support means Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali names render properly, not as boxes. You can save a style preset (font + color + position) and reuse it across a batch of festival greetings.

Tips for Better Text on Images

Use a font with personality — handwriting or display fonts read better than plain sans-serif for greetings. Add a subtle drop shadow or stroke so text stays readable over busy backgrounds. Keep the name short and central; long phrases get crammed and look messy. For Hindi or other Indic scripts, choose a font that explicitly supports the script — generic fonts often render conjuncts incorrectly.
