Do I need to sign up?+
No. Toolkiya has zero signup. Click any tool and start using it immediately.
Is it really free?+
Yes. All 87+ tools are free forever. We sustain the project through optional ads on some pages and will offer paid enterprise plans for teams that need self-hosting or SSO.
Which browsers are supported?+
Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave — any modern browser on desktop or mobile. Some advanced features (like screen recording) require Chrome or Edge for full compatibility.
How do I install the Chrome extension?+
Visit the Chrome Web Store page, click Install, and pin Toolkiya to your toolbar. See the /apps page for a direct link.
Where are my files stored after I use a tool?+
Nowhere — files stay in your browser's memory. When you close the tab, they're gone. We never upload them to our servers.
Can I use multiple tools in sequence?+
Yes. Each tool is a standalone page, but you can chain them by downloading the output from one and uploading it into the next.
Is there a file size limit?+
Limits are set by your browser's memory, not by us. Most tools handle files up to 100-500MB depending on the operation.
Can I use Toolkiya offline?+
Most tools work offline after first load (they're client-side). The AI Assistant and tools that call external APIs (currency, IP) require internet.
Do the tools have a watermark?+
No. Never. Everything you download is clean, unmarked, and yours.
Can I use Toolkiya for commercial work?+
Yes. No restrictions on commercial use of the tools or the output they produce.
What data do you collect?+
Nothing about the files you process. We use optional anonymous feedback, store IP addresses temporarily for rate limiting, and log basic error telemetry. See our Privacy Policy for the full list.
Do you sell my data?+
Never. We don't collect enough data to sell, and we wouldn't sell it if we did.
Do you use tracking cookies?+
No. See our Cookie Policy — we only use localStorage for your preferences.
Can I delete my feedback submissions?+
Yes. Email privacy@toolkiya.com with your feedback device ID and we'll remove it within 30 days (GDPR-compliant).
Is Toolkiya GDPR compliant?+
Yes. See our /gdpr page for your rights and our obligations as a data processor.
How is the extension different from the website?+
Same tools, faster access. The extension adds in-popup features like IP lookup, speed test, screenshot capture, and AI tool finder that work from your browser toolbar without opening tabs.
When is the Android app launching?+
In public beta via Google Play Store. Join the waitlist on /apps to get notified when it's live.
Will there be an iOS app?+
Eventually. iOS browser restrictions limit what we can do, so we're focusing on mobile web first.
A tool isn't working — what do I do?+
First, hard-refresh (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+R). Then try a different browser. If it still fails, report it via the feedback button in the bottom-right.
The AI Assistant says 'daily limit reached'+
Free AI calls are limited to 20/day per IP to keep the service sustainable. Reset happens at midnight UTC. Heavy users should run Toolkiya self-hosted.
Microphone button doesn't work+
Click the lock icon in your address bar, allow Microphone access, then reload the page. See /apps/#troubleshooting for macOS-specific steps.
The page looks broken or distorted+
Clear your browser cache and reload. If the issue persists, tell us which browser + OS you're on via the feedback form.
Speed test shows wrong numbers+
Speed tests measure throughput to Cloudflare's global edge. Results can vary by ±10% from other speed test services. If numbers are wildly off, your ISP or network hardware may be the issue.
