Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: April 2026 · Version 1.0
Short version:Don't use Toolkiya to do illegal things, harm other people, or distribute content you don't own. We cannot see the files you transfer through our P2P tools (they are end-to-end encrypted), but we reserve the right to investigate abuse reports, revoke access, and permanently ban users or IP ranges that violate this policy.
1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses any tool on toolkiya.com, including but not limited to our peer-to-peer tools: Send Files, Wireless Clipboard, Phone as Webcam, and Phone Document Scanner. By using any Toolkiya tool, you agree to this AUP and to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Prohibited activities
You may not use any Toolkiya tool — including our peer-to-peer services — for any of the following:
Illegal content
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), terrorism-related content, trafficking, or anything unlawful under the Indian Penal Code, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, the IT Act 2000, or the laws of your jurisdiction.
Copyright infringement
Distribution of pirated movies, music, software, games, books, or any copyrighted work you don't own or have permission to share. Violations are actionable under the Copyright Act 1957 (India) and DMCA (USA). See our Copyright Policy.
Malware and security attacks
Viruses, ransomware, keyloggers, spyware, trojans, phishing kits, hacking tools, exploit payloads, or any code intended to harm another person's device.
Harassment and abuse
Doxing, stalking, threats of violence, targeted harassment, revenge content, non-consensual intimate imagery, or any content intended to intimidate or harm a specific individual.
Fraud and deception
Fake documents, forged government IDs, impersonation, deep-fakes intended to deceive, scam templates, or phishing pages.
Unauthorized data collection
Transferring personal data of another person without their explicit consent, or using any Toolkiya tool to facilitate surveillance or data theft.
Service abuse
Running automated scripts against Toolkiya, scraping, attempting to bypass rate limits, reverse-engineering for malicious purposes, or using the service to relay large-scale traffic to unrelated targets.
Impersonation of Toolkiya
Pretending to be an official Toolkiya representative, creating clones of the site to harvest data, or using our brand to deceive users.
3. Your responsibilities
- You, and only you, are responsible for any content you share through Toolkiya's peer-to-peer tools.
- You confirm that you have the legal right to share any files, text, video, or images you transmit.
- You will not use our tools to share content that you would be embarrassed, ashamed, or legally exposed to share publicly.
- You are at least 18 years old, or using the service with the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- You will not use the service for any purpose prohibited by the laws of India or of your own country of residence.
4. Why Toolkiya can't pre-screen content
Toolkiya's peer-to-peer tools use WebRTC with end-to-end DTLS encryption. Files, text, video, and other content flow directly between two devices — they never touch Toolkiya's servers. This is a deliberate privacy feature, but it also means we cannot inspect, filter, or moderate content in real time.
We rely on user reports and automated abuse signals (rate-limit violations, repeated complaints from a given IP range, suspicious access patterns on our rate-limited API endpoints) to identify and block abusers.
5. Enforcement
Toolkiya reserves the right, without notice, to:
- Revoke active sessions and invalidate pairing codes
- Temporarily or permanently ban IP addresses or IP ranges
- Block access to specific tools for abusive users
- Cooperate with law enforcement in response to lawful requests
- Remove or disable any feature that is being systematically misused
Bans may be applied automatically based on signal patterns or manually after review of an abuse report. Repeat infringers under the Copyright Act 1957 or DMCA are subject to permanent bans per our Copyright Infringement Policy.
6. Reporting abuse
If you believe someone is misusing Toolkiya — including using our tools to share illegal content, copyrighted works, or material that violates this policy — please report it immediately.
grievance@toolkiya.comPlease include: the tool involved, approximate date/time, description of the abuse, and any identifying information (pairing code, URL, IP address if known). We acknowledge reports within 24 hours and investigate promptly. See also our Grievance Redressal page for formal complaints under India's IT Rules 2021.
7. Governing law
This AUP and any disputes arising from its enforcement are governed by the laws of India. Any legal action must be brought in the courts of competent jurisdiction in India.
8. Changes
We may update this AUP at any time. Changes are effective when posted on this page. Continued use of Toolkiya after changes means you accept the updated policy.
