How Image Combining Works

When you add multiple images, Toolkiya reads each file's dimensions in the browser and lays them out on a single canvas. For a horizontal combine, images are placed side by side with consistent height; for vertical, they're stacked with consistent width; and for a grid, they're arranged into rows and columns. You can adjust spacing between images, background color of the gaps, and whether smaller images are stretched, fitted, or padded.

The combined canvas is then exported as a single PNG, JPEG, or WebP at the full resolution of the inputs. All resizing, layout, and export work happens locally in JavaScript — no upload, no server-side rendering, and no quality loss beyond the chosen output format.

When to Combine Images

Building before-and-after comparisons for fitness, renovation, or design work. Stitching screenshots of long chats, articles, or web pages into one image. Merging product shots into a single marketplace listing photo. Combining receipts or documents into a single image for expense reports. Creating side-by-side comparison images for blogs, reviews, or social posts.

Why Combine Images on Toolkiya

Most image-merging websites compress your photos heavily, watermark the output, or limit you to two images at a time on the free tier. Toolkiya combines images at their full resolution in your browser, with no compression you didn't ask for and no Toolkiya logo stamped on the result.

Because nothing is uploaded, you can combine personal photos, screenshots of private chats, or scanned documents without worrying about where they end up. There is no signup, no limit on the number of images you combine in a single canvas, and no queue.

Tips for Better Combined Images

Match aspect ratios before combining — resize beat-up screenshots to a common width so they stack cleanly. Use a small gap (10–20 px) with a white or transparent background for a clean magazine-style look. Export as PNG if any input has text or sharp edges; JPEG only if everything is photographic. For very tall stitched images, check that downstream platforms (WhatsApp, Twitter) don't crop them.
